平良港近くの豊見親墓にて Tohimita tomb at Hira port

宮古島市総合博物館を見学した後で、タクシーで、平良港の方へ向かった。このあたりには、多くの史跡が残っており、昔から、宮古島の中心であったようだ。

そこに、豊見親墓があった。

この史跡は、3つの墓から構成されていて、いずれも、宮古島の支配者の一族の墓だ。

宮古島に伝わる神歌や伝説によれば、宮古島では、最初は女性を中心とした社会が構成されてたが、やがて、男性中心の社会となり、島の支配圏を争うようになった。

そうした時代は、英雄時代と呼ばれている。

英雄時代は、14世紀まで続いたが、14世紀は、中国、日本、朝鮮において、時代の変わり目にあたり、宮古島も、そうした時代にうねりに飲み込まれていく。

After I tour the Miyakojima University Museum, by taxi, and headed towards the Hira Port. This hit, there remains a lot of historic sites, it seems from the old days, was the center of Miyakojima.

There, there was a Tohimiya tomb.

The Historic Site, have been composed of three tombs, either, but the tomb of the family of Miyakojima rulers.
